If wine and spirit events are on your "to-do" list this Spring and Summer (and we know they are) then you're in luck. C-Style has composed a list of drink events that are sure winners (in our book), and not to be missed!
April -
You are invited to experience “A Goldmine of Planet Bordeaux Wines” on Friday, April 19th. The event, which will help kick off World Wine Meetings America, will be an interactive wine tasting and informational day, held at Skydeck Chicago.
Join 20 wine makers and taste over 50 Bordeaux Wines. Participate in workshops, quizzes, and a raffle to win a case of Bordeaux for yourself!
Come learn all you didn't know about Bordeaux. To purchase tickets to the event go here.
Whisky Advocate magazine's WhiskyFest-Chicago 2013 may be sold out but there's still hope! Whisky Week kicks-off on Monday, April 22nd with whisky-related events at several Chicago venues including Delilah's, Binny's, Hotel Palomar, The Monkey's Paw, and Untitled (see event listed below).
For details on dates, locations, prices (some events are free), and activities, go online here.
If you didn't get into this year's Whiskyfest, don't despair. Chicago's sassy speakeasy, Untitled, is holding it's own soiree - First Annual American Whiskeyfest! - on April 25th.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample more than 50 whiskeys from distillers from all over the country.
In honor of American WhiskeyFest, all girl trio The WhiskeyBelles will take the stage with their upbeat sounds combining country, folk and Americana. Guests are also invited to stay late into the night for Unbridled, Untitled’s newest Thursday night show party. Unbridled is Untitled unleashed - a fun, funky, freaky evening of titillating variété that blurs the lines between absurd and artistic, raw and refined.
Tickets are available here!
May -
Saturday, May 11th, the American Beer Classic comes to Soldier Field for a one-day-only tasting from over 60 of America's finest brewmasters!
Designated driver's will have their own special suite with refreshments and all participants can enjoy entertainment from the live bands, as well as purchase food from Soldier Field's concessions.

We love a road trip and one of our favorite places to visit is New York City. That's why we recommend a trip to The Manhattan Cocktail Classic!
Part festival, part fête, part conference, part cocktail party – The Manhattan Cocktail Classic is an annual celebration of the myriad points of intersection between cocktails and culture. With nearly one hundred events spread across five days and four boroughs, and a multi-day trade conference to boot - the Manhattan Cocktail Classic offers a vast array of unique experiences to enthusiasts and professionals alike, expanding the very definition of what constitutes a “cocktail event".
The fun goes down May 17 -21st and you can get more information about hotels, specific events, and everything you need to take on Gotham City here.
July -
Don’t miss Tales of the Cocktail, a five-day festival celebrating the cocktails, cuisine and culture of New Orleans, July 17-21, 2013.
Famous drinks such as the Ramos Gin Fizz, the Sazerac, the Hurricane, the Hand Grenade, and many others arose from the creativity and imagination of New Orleans bartenders. The industry’s most influential spirit lovers and bartenders from around the world will drink in cocktail history and culture at Tales of the Cocktail 2013.
Tales of the Cocktail 2013 features a schedule of educational seminars, tasting rooms, Spirited Awards, Spirited Dinners, bartending competitions, and more.
