Last Thursday, Lexus brought its popular Verses & Flow to Chicago's South side. The jam-packed event was hosted by actor and poet, Omari Hardwick, who recently starred in Sparkle alongside Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks.
Chicago's tastemakers enjoyed an evening of tasty bites, wine and cocktails, a personalized photo shoot, as well as the music of Chicago's own, Carl Thomas.
The main highlight of the event was the poetry of Sonya Renee and Rudy Francisco, who performed some of their newest pieces for the 'Verses & Flow Live' event.
Verses & Flow capitalizes on the resurgence of spoken word and is filled with dynamic performances by prominent R&B artists.
The show was recently nominated for an NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Variety Series or Special." The NAACP Image Awards airs tonight 8/7c on NBC.
