Winning Wine Wednesdays: January's Spirited Events

January is the perfect time to spend more time indoors, so we've come up with an exciting list of 'spirited' events for you to enjoy to keep the winter chill away!

January 18th -

Meet Blackhawks hockey legend, Denis Savard, during a live broadcast with The SCORE-670-AM Radio and enjoy brewskies courtesy of Bud Light on Friday, January 18th at 6 p.m. at Binny's South Loop Tasting Room. Binny's is located at 1132 South Jefferson Street.

January 18 & 25 -

Celebrate the weekend with $3 draft beers every Friday, available all day at Mity Nice (835 N. Michigan Ave.). Choose from local selections from Metropolitan Brewing,Goose Island or Two Brothers. Also try their newest craft beer - Milk Stout by Left Hand Brewery in Longmont, Colorado.

January 20 & 21 -

Cityscape Bar celebrates both the 2nd Inauguration of President Barack Obama and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with martini specials!  Enjoy an "O"Bama-Tini made with Absolut Mandarin Vodka, Blue Curacao, Amp Decibel and Sierra Mist. Guests are welcome to take advantage of other $6 Margarita's including Strawberry, Pineapple, and Mango.  The 57th Inaugural Ceremony will be broadcast on all televisions.

January 31st -

Napa Valley luminary Margrit Mondavi, wife of late American winemaking pioneer Robert Mondavi, will host her first Chicago signing for her new book, Margrit Mondavi’s Sketchbook, along with a complimentary wine tasting on Thursday, January 31 at the classic Chicago steakhouse Gibson’s.

Margrit was instrumental helping her late husband, pioneering vintner Robert Mondavi, put Napa Valley on the map and introduced original culinary and cultural programs that remain benchmarks of the wine world. I would love for you to share details about the book signing with your readers so they can meet “The First Lady of Napa Valley,” as she is often affectionately called, over delicious food and wonderful wines!
