This week C-Style returns with a whole new format for a whole new year! Monday columns will now feature 'The Go List.' To get your week started right, here are seven whole days of events to help you keep it poppin' !
JANUARY 14 - Get your tickets now for The Lincoln Park Young Professionals (LPYP) 6th Annual Winter Soiree ~ Frost. Enjoy delicious food from 10 Pin chefs, cocktails, tastings, sweets, and raffles all while bowling with your friends!
Tickets are available here at www.TicketWeb.com for $20 in advance and $30 at the door. 10 Pin is located at 330 North State Street (across from the House of Blues) in Chicago. The fun takes place on January 24th from 6- 9 p.m.
JANUARY 15 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday
Join PUSH Excel for its 23rd Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration. This year's event will feature a conversation with Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Rev. Dr. Otis Moss, Jr., and Rev. Dr. Andrew Young, three men who were with Dr. King on his last birthday.
Proceeds of the forum benefit the PUSH Excel Scholarship Fund. Program will be held at UIC Forum at 8 a.m. Tickets are $125 and breakfast will be served. Tickets are available online at www.RainbowPush.org or by calling 773-256-2731.
JANUARY 16 - The Chicago Tribune's Trib Nation presents Chicago Forward: Mayor Rahm Emanuel at 6 p.m. at The Field Museum of Chicago (1400 S. Lake Shore Drive). Mayor Emanuel will sit down with Chicago Tribune editorial page editor, Bruce Dold for a conversation about Chicago. Tickets are $20.00 and available here.
JANUARY 17 - If you're thinking of tying the knot in 2013 then you don't want to miss the Bridal Lounge at the James. Come out and meet wedding experts to help you plan that special day! The event takes place at The James Hotel (55 E. Ontario) from 6 -9 p.m. RSVP to mdykema@jameshotel.com to attend.
JANUARY 18 - The Chicago Cubs host their annual convention at the Sheraton Towers and Hotel today thru Sunday. Events start at 1 p.m. daily with the opening ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m. tonight. A pass costs $60.00 and is available by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS or online at www.Cubs.com/convention.
JANUARY 19 - Singer and actress, Brandy, lends her support to Project H.O.O.D. Stop The Violence tonight at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana. The show starts at 8 p.m.Tickets are $45 and available here.
