Last Thursday, Chicago's North Michigan Avenue was jam-packed with fashionistas roaming from store to store to view the latest in Fall fashions, and partake in the delightful amenities retailers were offering to potential customers.
C-Style spent the evening at one of the night's most popular affair. 900 North Michigan Shops and Michigan Avenue Magazine hosted the luxe VIP soiree "Fame, Fashion & Flavor" featuring Hollywood's Ali Larter as their special guest. Just standing in line to receive my special bracelet, I spotted the lovely Candace Jordan (Candid Candace and Do 312), NBC entertainment correspondent, Marcus Riley, and one of the Smithe brothers (Walter E. Smithe furnishings).
My first stop was at the Brugal Rum bar for a taste of Brugal Rum and soda. Next a waiter stopped to offer me a mini-beef slider from Gibson's Restaurant. I ran into a friend and we talked while more and more people arrived.
Soon Ms. Larter arrived and I also spotted the genius coordinating the whole affair, Ryan M. Beshel.
Since, I had other stops to make that evening, I did not get an opportunity to stay for the fashion show. One more quick bite, (a yummy chicken queso), and I was on my way to the next affair!
