C-Style Magazine: Thirsty Thursdays! Wine and Spirit Events In Chicago

Last month C-Style was invited to several amazing wine and spirit events across Chicago. The companies visiting Chicago were here to showcase their products and let Chicago-area media and taste makers alike in on a little fun!

October 21st - Antinori Cabernet Sauvignon Seminar and Food Pairing at The Florentine at JW Marriott

Alessia Antinori hosted the event at The Florentine at the Marriott Hotel for an elegant evening of Tuscan hospitality as part of the family’s 26^th Generation Tour. The seminar gave attendees a chance to taste some of the family’s classic wines and experience first-hand the family’s passion for winemaking, The reception afterwards featured dishes from top Italian chefs paired alongside Antinori wines.

October 23rd - Coppola Wines visited Michael Jordan's Steakhouse for a presentation called "Diamond in the Dark." the tasting was led by the winery’s very own talented host, Henry “Hoby” Wedler, a blind chemistry graduate student who has hosted the “Tasting in the Dark” experience at the Winery since he helped to establish the program in 2011. The presentation gave us a new perspective on using other senses to appreciate the art of wine tasting.

October 29th - Cutty Sark came to town to introduce Chicago to its latest whisky - Cutty Sark Pro!

Wednesday night in the Fulton Market neighborhood at Morgan Manufacturing, a roll-call of Chicago’s best artists and musicians gathered to celebrate the launch of the new Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition Blended Scotch Whisky. Guests were treated to live music by Empires and Morry Sochat & The Special 20s; local artist Nate Azark painted a live art installation; and RM Champagne Salon’s Mea Leech created custom whisky cocktails for all.

October 30th - C-Style was invited to Sip New Zealand and a virtual tasting with Wine Channel TV's lovely hostess, Certified Sommelier and CEO, Jessica Altieri. We were excited to talk with Alastair Maling, MW, of Villa Maria Wines in New Zealand and later talk with Chef Rodelio Aglibot (The Food Buddha) of Reverie Chicago! Amazing wines and food pairings were enjoyed by all!
