Winning Wine Wednesdays: Apothic Rose Wine ~ A Taste of Spring

Apothic is a true original. Named for a mysterious place, Apotheca, where vitners stored their most coveted concoctions in 13th Century Europe, Apothic blends Old World intrigue with modern sophistication.

Boyd Morrison

Winemaker Boyd Morrison (whose expertise as a winemaker defies his youthful appearance) lets the character and flavor of each varietal guide the shape of his wines, which are bold in style and taste.

The Limited Edition Apothic Rose is no exception.  Blending Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon, a deep crimson color is created that lends itself to big, luscious flavors of watermelon and strawberry - everything that reminds you of Spring!

Produced in California, the 2012 vintage was one of the best in many years for the region.

Not only is Apothic Rose delicious, it is easy on the wallet as well. The suggested retail price for a 750-ml bottle is only $14.00.

What does Apothic Rose pair well with?  First course meals like Caesar Salad and Onion Bisque Soup to desserts like Banana Splits and Stuffed Beignets.  Part of an excellent meal recently shared at the Apothic Winemaker dinner at Graham Elliot Bistro.
