In its annual trek to Chicago, Food & Wine magazine hosted its incredible chef showcase at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The showcase featured some of Chicago's top chefs including Stephanie Izard (Girl & the Goat), Bill Kim (bellyQ), Graham Elliot Bowles (Gramwich, Graham Elliot, g.e.b.), Mindy Seagal (Hot Chocolate), Andrew Zimmerman (Sepia), Art Smith (Table Fifty-Two), Chris Pandel (The Bristol and Balena), Jimmy Bannos, Sr. and Jimmy Bannos, Jr.(The Purple Pig) among other talent.
Speaking of Jimmy Bannos, Jr., he is also celebrating his inclusion in Food & Wine's latest cookbook entitled "America's Greatest New Cooks." Dubbed the "Prince of Pork," Bannos, Jr. has been setting trends on Chicago's culinary scene with The Purple Pig. Drawing on his own Italian and Greek heritage, he is putting a new twist on traditional dishes he grew up eating.
Guests of this year's showcase also enjoyed sweet treats and libations provided by partners Patron, Verismo System by Starbucks, Stella Artois, and Robert Mondavi Winery among others.
