NBA star, Shannon Brown, who plays for the Phoenix Suns, and is a two-time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, is pulling out all the stops to bring the music home to Chicago. Brown, who hails from Maywood, Illinois will be hosting the 1st Annual Wood-Star Music Festival August 17-19th in Chicago.
The Wood-Star Music Festival promises to deliver three days of entertainment, empowerment ,and culture with proceeds benefiting the Shannon Brown Foundation. The Shannon Brown Foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 recognized organization that directly supports and/or provides financial assistance to violence prevention, educational, recreational and other programs that emphasize positive social development of young people.
