Celebrating its second birthday, Cooking Channel hits the road this summer with their Summer Eats pop-ups offering an exciting and unique culinary experience for fans around the country.
The pop-ups will provide complimentary, custom menus of food and beverages inspired by summer favorites and local dishes in each city including Atlanta (July 12th), Chicago (July 14th), and Philly (July 19th).
Appearances by network hosts G. Garvin (Roadtrip with G. Garvin), Eden Grinshpan (Eden Eats) and Baron Ambrosia (The Culinary Adventures of Baron Ambrosia) round out a fun-filled celebration for fans to get a real taste of the Cooking Channel brand.
Additionally, if you like them here on Facebook, you'll be entered to win a trip for two to the 2012 New York City Wine & Food Festival to see your favorite Cooking Channel stars!
Also on July 14th, wanna-be chefs (that means you!) can audition in Chicago and New York City to be on ABC Network's "Cooking Show" -- think that's a working title -- with Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson.
To audition, you must bring an already prepared dish that you can plate on-site for the judges to taste.
A hint: Bourdain is the 'King of Strange' when it comes to food. He raps Paula Deen for cooking with butter, but thinks nothing of eating snakes and such!
If you can't make it to a casting call, you can still send in a video for consideration. For all the deets on how to get in, go here!
Last Friday, Naperville's Ribfest kicked-off with the Sears "Grilling Is Happiness" event featuring television star and spokesman, Ty Pennington. Pennington posed with fans and spent time in the hot sun grilling tasty ribs and other dishes for fans to enjoy.
If you didn't get to Ribfest before it ended on July 3rd, you can still enjoy all the action captured by C-Style's correspondent, Donna Binbek. Enjoy!
