This Just In...National Basketball Retired Players Association Hosts Celebrity-Packed Golf Outing






Join celebrities from the NBA, NFL, MLB, boxing, TV & music to play for three great causes!

The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) – Chicagoland Chapter and Cliff Levingston (Chapter President and former World Champion Chicago Bull) will host their inaugural golf outing fundraiser, "Legends on the Links Celebrity Golf Outing," on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Lost Marsh Golf Course, located at 1001-129th Street in Hammond, IN. 

Registration begins at 9:30 am with a shotgun start at 11:00 am

Levingston will be joined by some of the sports world's greatest athletes and sports personalities including: Antoine Walker, Richard Dent, Bill Wennington, Stacey King, Jason McKie, Peggy Kusinski (NBC-5 Chicago) Ron Kittle, Kenny Battle, Montell Griffin, David Diaz & more!

An invitation-only VIP kick-off party will be held on Thursday, June 7th at Majestic Star Casino with a special performance by national recording artist El DeBarge,Jr. (son of legendary singer, El DeBarge).

A portion of the proceeds from the golf outing will be donated to three charities: Haven House of Hammond, 826CHI, and the Bret Laczynski Brain Cancer Research Fund. 

Viewers and participants alike can catch the action on the greens or sign-up on site to play a round or two (subject to availability).

The NBRPA is a non-profit association comprised of former professional basketball players of the NBA, ABA, and Harlem Globetrotters. 

Working in conjunction with the NBA and National Basketball Players Association (NBPA),  NBRPA’s membership promotes basketball and enhances the sport’s image by building community relationships and fostering support for charitable activities and philanthropic events with a connection to the game
