I had the opportunity to spend some time with Kentucky Master Distiller, Tom Bulleit, when he stopped in Chicago to promote Bulleit Bourbon and Rye. If you haven't tried North American Whiskey or are looking for a spirit that can become a staple in your bar (for business or pleasure), this is it!
In 1987, Bulleit embraced his true passion and life-long dream of reviving his great-grandfather Augustus's 150-year-old legendary bourbon recipe. Today, the small batch premium quality bourbon is distributed throughout the world. Bulleit has grown tremendously in the American whiskey category and is dubbed as one of the fastest-growing small batch bourbons available in the United States.

Last year, Bulleit Rye won Best American Whiskey in a Manhattan at Tales of the Cocktail. Bulleit Rye is a small-batch Straight Rye Whiskey made with a 95% Rye Mash of unparalleled flavor. Diageo Master of Whisky, Kyle McHugh, related that "a higher proof whiskey is preferable for creating classic cocktails like the iconic Manhattan."

Bulleit Rye delivers sweet tones of maple and oak with light toffee and no burn in the throat.
Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey is deep russet in color with a rich oaky aroma with hints of vanilla, honey, and spice that leads to a long, smooth finish.
Having sampled both a classic Sazerac and Mint Julep made with Bulleit products, I can attest to the fact that women can finally have a seat at the table and enjoy a whisk(e)y, too!
