Winning Wine Wednesdays: April Tastings In The City
It's been a while since we've let you in on some cool events happening right here in the Chi. Below is a list of drink tastings (some free) to experience during this first full month of Spring. Enjoy!
April 11 - 13th: The Guinness Believer Event - Have a pint and learn the story of Guinness at the Chicago Illuminating Company. Hurry! RSVP here.
April 11 - 14th: Johnnie Walker Event - Join the Striding Man for tastings of the JW labels at Resolution Digital Studios on Chicago's near West Side. Hurry, some dates are already full! RSVP here.
April 11th: Fleming's Steakhouse and Wine Bar kicks off its Small Plates, Big Pours event for a limited time. Choose from seven steakhouse small plates paired with wine from Fleming's 100. These specials are available for the reasonable price of $24.95. For more information check here.
April 17 - 20th: Raise The Macallan Event - Join Macallan at their private single malt scotch tasting at River East Arts Center. Again, some dates are already full so RSVP now, here.
April 17th: Malbec World Day - Help celebrate Malbec World Day across the U.S. beginning April 17th. In Chicago, experience this Argentine wine here during closing night at the Chicago Latino Film Festival. For other dates and locations across the U.S., check here.
April 19th: Austria Uncorked - Try Austrian wines paired with delicious cuisine from Chicago's best restaurants during this one night event at Venue One. Event times are 5:30 - 9:00 pm. for VIP attendance, and 6:30 - 9 p.m. for general admission. Tickets are $75 (General) and $125 (VIP). Proceeds benefit Common Threads. For ticket information go here.
Ongoing: Chicago Brew Bus Tours - If you're curious about the best brews in Chicago from local small batches to imports, you'll want to get on the bus and check out some of Chicago's hot spots. After-work crawls are available for $20 and Saturday tours are $54.95 for drinkers and $25 non-drinkers (if you just wanna come along for the fun).
