Winning Wine Wednesdays - Savour The Spirit of Partida Tequila

Since its launch, Partida Tequila has worked to bring premium tequila out of the shot glass and into the Champagne flute. As a leader in the premium Tequila category, Partida has made it its mission to educate consumers on the true nature of tequila and how to enjoy it.

Much like fine wine, Partida is estate-grown in a particular terroir. The land is ideally suited to the cultivation of blue agave, which is harvested by hand and carefully fermented.

While most tequila distillers draw from a jumble of different agave growers, Partida controls its own agave production which provides a high degree of control over the quality of the finished spirit.

The result is a smooth, elegant Tequila with floral and citrus notes that can be savored like a fine wine.

Partida offers four distinct spirits including: Blanco - boasting a soft floral aroma blended perfectly with hints of citrus, fresh herbs, and tropical fruit; Reposado - a light amber colour with golden tones topped off with scents of vanilla, hazelnut, and almond; Anejo - soft honey fruited tones blended with flavors of banana, chocolate and sweet pear; and Elegante -a premium extra-Anejo tequila crafted from the very best estate-grown blue agave.

A few tips for enjoying Partida Tequila include trying it neat in a snifter instead of a shot glass, and forgetting the lime and salt. Partida's smoothness equals that of the finest single malt scotch.

Partida Tequilas range from $40 - $300 in the Chicago area at locations like Binny's, and can be enjoyed at finer area bars and restaurants including Adobo Grill and Carnivale.
